The ear is a complex organ responsible for hearing and balance. It consists of three main parts:

1. Outer Ear: This includes the visible part (pinna or auricle) and the external auditory canal, which channels sound waves to the eardrum.
2. Middle Ear: Contains the eardrum and three tiny bones (ossicles) that amplify sound vibrations from the eardrum to the inner ear.
3. Inner Ear: Comprises the cochlea (responsible for hearing) and the vestibular system (responsible for balance). The cochlea converts sound vibrations into neural signals that the brain interprets as sound.
